Stuck in the graveyard at Yarrow.

I started a game yesterday and eventually completed the starter dungeon in Yarrow and got the Black Eyed Stone. I came out of the dungeon and thought I'd leave it for the day.

I booted the game up today and selected 'continue' from the main menu. I was surprised to see the game do the little world building sequence it does when you start a new game. Once the game started I was outside the Yarrow Cave entrance and went to walk back to the house, but I can't open the gate. The game says I need the Graveyard Key.

I've still got all the items I collected when completing the dungeon, but presumably the graveyard key was consumed when I originally came through this gate, so it's not in my inventory, but somehow the world has been regenerated with the gate locked again.

If I go into Yarrow Cave it has been regenerated (so my map is empty), even though I haven't died.

I guess I'm stuck?

Am in the exact same situation. :(

Already visited a couple other towns (Harrowdus and Moon-over-Thebes, might be spelling those wrong), and explored some of the Overworld already, came back to the starter town (was planning to re-enter the dungeon, but was getting late, so saved and quit game), really hoping not having to start all over again (wanted to experience whole game in a 'blind run' first, before replaying any of it)

If do that, then won't be able to enter that dungeon ever again (ie, no way to re-get the Graveyard Key).

Even worse here. I entered the graveyard dungeon and died there then quit the game cause it was already late. Next day I continued. Like for you after "continue" from main menu the world building sequence was shown again o_O. I cleared the dungeon, got the stone. But now I cannot even leave the graveyard area cause it says you need the graveyard key. hmpf. Just started to like this game but after some googling it seems to be still pretty buggy :(

Press enter and leave the area, chance are everything respawned, you can always just restart the game this early.

Have a backup of my game prior to the update, so gave this a go, unfortunately is a no-go. Like Ste describes, looks like the Graveyard Key gets consumed when unlocked the gate (which we did prior to the upgrade), and the game also remembers it's handed out the key already, so don't get another one when re-visit the place got it the first time around.

I noticed there's a 'give' command on the in-game console, so tried...

give graveyard key
give graveyard-key
give graveyard_key
give graveyardkey
give key graveyard
give key-graveyard
give key_graveyard
give keygraveyard

None of those worked :( I also tried "give lockpick" (note the use of lowercase L), and it gave a Lockpick, so am concluding the console command is case-insensitive. So, unless someone knows a way to get a list of possible items the "give" command can drop (???), figure we're stuck until one of the devs is able to read this msg thread.

Standing directly north of the gate, if you're trapped inside, and typing "dig s" (no quotes) in the console will remove the gate or fence tile.

Open the console by pressing the ` key (the backtick, it's the key that makes ~ if you hold shift).

Also, I found today that you can extract data files from the exe easily using 7zip (thanks to how the Love2D engine packages games), and a lot of the game's data is in spreadsheets, so I checked and the graveyard key is actually "farm_gate_key", so

give farm_gate_key

should also work to give you the key
