Couple tips I've come across
Couple things I noticed.

There's a devotional tear in a secret area of the first town that starts with the name Moon. It can respawn.

It took several sessions before I realized that in the gods menu, if you click the scroll next to the god icon, it lists ways to earn points with that god. Like killing 200 enemies for the wolf god will earn you 2 points

Where is the specific secret area for the Devotion Tear?

I remember finding one early on, vaguely, but can't find it again.

I DID, however, find the repeatedly refilling 100-ish gold spot in the warehouses to the west.

I found it. It's in the first block of buildings on the right, as you enter the city, the group with the armor store. You have to go to the north of that building, then walk south through a spider web, then south again through a secret door.

It DOES respawn too.

Because I know someone’s going to google this, what I’m about to say is extremely important.

If you save in town after getting that tear, it does not respawn.DO NOT SAVE IN THE TOWN AFTER PICKING UP THE TEAR, always leave to the overworld. It refreshes the state of the town to whatever Point you save at in the town.

Yes, there is a difference between a Devotional Tear and the Devotion Cost.

You can only use the Tear (item) to select which god you want to devote to; you can change between gods through out the game.

Devotion Cost refers to how many points it required, in order to learn a specific "Skill"; you earn those points by completing certain tasks as per your 200 kill example.

The Tear item and Devotion cost cannot be used interchangeably.
