Sleathen, how to kill this boss?

The only clue i found is 'sleathen may not be killed by any other' but i honestly have no clue what to do with this. Does anyone have some answers/tips?

There was someone I talked to about Sleathen that told me it could only be killed with a specific cannon, which cannon, I do not know yet

The cannon is not Sleathen, that's someone else. My general tip is to keep talking to people and make sure to use all your phrases, there are clear clues on how to beat Sleathen. Many/all? special bosses like that seem to have clear clues and quests leading you on how to defeat them.

You're confusing Sleathorn with a different monster. I'll give a few hints...

1. There's a character in the wolf village who's complaining about Sleathorn. Ask him a few questions.
2. You need a specific weapon to kill him. Do you have any weapons that mention Sleathorn?
3. The weapon is in a dungeon relatively near the wolf village.
Solution: Go to 'The Hole', and retrieve the weapon 'Sleathorn's Fang'.

I found the tooth but where is the boss? All I hear is that he is in a forest northeast of the town but I can't find him. The high priest seems bugged, i can't ask him about sleathen anymore

He moves around. Hunt him. When you are told you've found him, examine that location.

I've covered every inch of The Hole, but never found Sleathen's Fang.

I found the tooth in The Hold, not The Hole. There are two dungeons and they are different

got the fang, cannot find sleathen, been trying for a real life hour or two. any tips other than to walk around the forests north of wintersholl?

there's a marker for the general area in the forest, it's called sleathen's forest or something like that, a villager gives you the marker I believe, but you can search around, it isn't hidden at all, you can see the location on the screenshot shared above
specific directions it's to the northwest of wintersholl, you walk around and at some point there's a red indicator on the world map that tells you that there's something to the east, west, whatever direction Sleathen can be found, you move around and at some point you get a "something is here", explore that area and you'll see it
