Well, barrow-linn, red grove and hearthaven aren't a great choice for 1st region.
barrow-linn requires you to find a special plot item, finding which probably will take most of the game.
red grove requires you to find 5 specific flowers, which can be found in the wild plus thief stole some.
hearthaven requires a special cloak that can be find in wintershall.
wintershall requires to find a special weapon in nearby cave.
haven't visited harrowdus so far.
So I think it should be like this:
Red Grove, Barrow-linn, and Hearthaven all require collecting some mcguffins, and Harrowdus requires visiting all the towns and some ruins to figure out a bunch of clues for a puzzle, so I think people would have visited most of the locations on the world map no matter what order they attempt these in anyway. I think ordering them like this would make tackling the dungeons progressively more challenging as they go.
Harrowdus had a much easier dungeon than the other three. Hearthaven's was by far the most challenging thanks to the great gazer enemies who have a bunch of HP and can deal out some serious damage. There's also the fact that that dungeon has players climbing up, so even if they didn't care about losing consumables, repeatedly falling down to reach the final floor isn't really an option since that takes you to the previous floor. Not to mention that the final boss in that dungeon is pretty challenging. I actually finished The Lament as well, and found that dungeon to be easier than Tower of veils minus the final boss.
The second is stupidly easy.
The third is also easy.
The fourth? What mountain retreat?
The fifth- who the hell even is Henrie.
I'm guessing the last is "wse"?
So think about which of the major towns you've already found clues in, and which ones are still remaining. Which of the 5 towns could be called a mountain retreat? (the henge descriptions might give you a hint about which one the game thinks is a mountain town).
If you need a bigger hint for where to look, the first clue was in Red Grove, the fourth was in Hearthaven, and the fifth was in Moon-upon-thoss.
The fifth clue covers the entire section of the riddle from "The fifth… be found". If you need another hint, the riddle tells us that Henrie rests six feet underground, that the actual word is related to the initials to the west, south, and east. See if you can think of where you'd expect someone "six feet underground" to be within a town. Major hint if this was frustrating (I know it was for me): Moon-upon-thoss has a cemetery with a bunch of gravestones with names on them. One of them is Henrie's. You're just looking for the first letter of the names to the west, south, and east of Henrie's.
Also, note that the "Strange Words" entry in your notes will only ever spell out the first, third, and fourth words of the solution. The second and the fifth one, you'd have to make a mental note of yourself.
If all of this is still frustrating, and you can't figure it out, here's the actual solution: Death has dominion over all. To enter the relic dungeon for The Jest, you'll need to go Harrodus and find the hidden entrance to it. It's at the bottom right section of the map, through the fake wall in the hostel, and then through the maze to another fake wall at the bottom right. Once you reach the trap door that's sealed shut, use the "yell" action to yell our the riddle solution, which unlocks the dungeon.
No, you'll need to yell all of them as one sentence. I'm fairly certain that the sentence is exactly the maximum size that the game allows for, so I'd double check the spelling and also make sure there aren't any typos. I'm not sure if you're meant to be standing in a particular spot, I was standing on top of the hatch when I did, and I think I yelled it all in lowercase, so I'm not sure if it's case sensitive or anything.
Only 4 more Endera Herbs, a thief to track down, and something else I forget. (Got Sleathen too.)
