Game Crashes on Launch / Doesn't Launch
If the game is crashing on launch please try forcing the game to run as an administrator.

  • Go to <directory where Steam is installed, usually C:/Program Files (x86)>/steamapps/common/Frozen Endzone
  • Right click on Frozen Endzone and click on Properties
  • Click on Compatibility and then check the box marked 'Run this program as an administrator'
  • Click OK and you should be able to run the game from Steam again

Unfortunately this means that the Steam overlay will no longer function. We are working to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

The runtime error was "fixed" for me by lowering the game quality to minimum. And after that it worked on low as well for some reason. Not exactly a great solution(and I certainly can´t quarantee it´ll work for you) but hey there it is. Only thing I tried that actually did anything.

That said I don´t have time right now to actually play the game, only checking with the tutorial.

Cheers Darius! Worked for me as well. Works in single player mode so im asuming online as well.

Vista, don't laugh, get a runtime error (asked to close in an unusual way) when launching tutorial/ match. Tried the above and the steam support suggestions.

Bummed that I can't play.

I'm running Vista as well. The minimum quality sorted out the tutorial but when I went on to play a further 5 minutes of the game it just crashed and the program stopped working... So, I have no clue, hahaa... Plus my administrator check box is grayed out, so I can't do anything about that either... Would be grateful and thankful if anyone could help me

Increasingly there are more games that give problems. Increasingly games are worse optimized. The games are becoming more expensive and of lower quality. It seems that this practice is becoming very common, save few exceptions.

Cada vez hay mas juegos que dan problemas. Cada vez los juegos estan peor optimizados. Cada vez los juegos son mas caros y de peor calidad. Parece que esta practica se esta haciendo muy comun, salvando honrosas excepciones

After turning the resolution down , running steam as admin etc. My game crashews after the first "play".

I am running Vista as well and was able to do the tutorial, but thats it. The update didn't help at all.

Any suggestions? This is pretty frustrating.

Same is happening to me. If I play it before any other game, it runs ok, otherwise, never runs again. Very frustating, if anybody is reading this, dont buy it, too many errors. Poor quality !!

Devs, I'm running this game on Vista and I'm getting runtime error as well.

Do you intend to fix it? It's been a while since it's been reported.

I'm running the game on windows 7, and encountered the c++ error like a few others. The minimum visual fixed it and I was able to play fine for the few hours put into it at first. When I tried to play it the next day, the game crashed as soon as I finished the first turn and continues to crash whenever I load the game or get to the second turn in a new game. I am running as administrator and in compatability mode for xp. Hopefully others have found a fix that I can't find, otherwise i hope the devs will have a solution.

Tried everything, doesn't work. I'm on Win10. All I get is a grey screen after the splash screen and then it crashes. :\
