yes is very good, there is gatcha but the progression is more based toward the usual grinding and crafting equipments, the Gatcha is for attacks moves/Sword Skill (still important) and some cosmetics, the game give plenty of currency to pull for free, but is not a game you should really chase some meta builds

Its kinda sad but this game is the only "MMO" and the closest we came to an actual SAO.
Yes theres Gacha and i would say it is really important to have good skills, because other wise you will make no damage and will get stuck in the Story, BUT the Devs itself giving out alot of free pulls, and with the Google Play Store release we also had some, so Steam release will get some too.

Just for the Story itself the game worth it, in my eyes atleast.

you should start Integral Factor instead, even if playing on mobile isn't your cup of tea, you would be able to transfer your progress once the steam version is out, would be a shame missing the free stuff, also is worth getting used to the Transfer procedure in order to avoid losing your progress

Integral Factor is definitly similar to them, wish they didn't abbandon the dungeon crawler elements of HF but that goes for all the later entry in the series

SAOLR? Not hype? I'm pretty hype SAOLR because they kinda make the combat more smooth. Pretty similar to HR. Sword skills now kinda more rewarding compare to its predecessor.
minimal gacha afaik. they have gachas for support skills, avatar accessories, etc. but they do a lot of free daily pulls and the game isnt dependent on the gachas at all :3

more like maximal gacha, your damage comes from skills, those come from gacha, and like always, you need multiple copies of the same skill to upgrade them to actually make some decent damage

not entirely true; to max limit break a skill you can use mats obtained from MLBing lesser skills. It takes longer, but is doable.

Also, most of the damage boost comes from just leveling the skill up with mats easily farmed f2p.

Limit breaking is mostly useful for certain skills like power rise or connect.

ofc, if you pay $$$, you will get more better skills sooner and have a larger variety to choose from in order to complete specific builds.

No, your damage comes from good crafted weapons, upgraded weapons, upgrading skills, you can grind for skills in events, you dont "HAVE" to gatcha to get better! Just have to F2P and get mats and advance floors, level up. Monsters DO NOT SCALE to your level. Floor 1 monsters and bosses are 1 hit kills if you are level 25+

They even give you 11 free skills every day and you can get good 4 star upgraded to 5 star skills without paying a cent! You can also earn a ton of gems by doing daily, weekly events, do banner events and earn tons of items and gems... this game is very easy F2P as long as you wanna do the grind!

Having sword skills tied to Gatcha is so friggin stupid, but it could always be worse. They could have put gear behind a gatcha pay wall too.

It's pretty sad that this is what one has to put up with to be able to play through all 100 floors of Aincrad. Otherwise I'd just recommend playing Hollow Fragment\Realization as they are, over all, substantially better overall.

Completely different games. This is more of an arpg style where you control your main character with minimal input into what your ai party members are doing.

You absolutely don't need to pay a cent to clear the storyline in this game.

The gacha is there if you want to progress faster or create an elite build for high level content.

Or if you just like throwing away hundreds and pulling banners.
