Story mode is also a great opportunity to try out chars whom you've never played before. Usually first fights of all chapters are pretty easy so you can get used to characters. You can check all combos/specials in the move list so it's not really that problematic.
There is also a tutorial mode and I believe that the game teaches you there how to do "your special ability when you have a full energy gauge" (by which, I assume, you mean X-ray), combos and all basic moves.
I agree with you when it comes to tag fights. They are a pain in the ass. Especially the fight against Quan Chi and Shang Tsung which was much more difficult for me than the next fight vs Shao Kahn . Scorpion vs Sektor and Cyrax was also painful because AI always knows when to block and when to spam teleport.
The story is great and I loved all cutscenes. Shao Kahn is a badass (despite the fact that he's also a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when you fight him).
Seriously, this is one of the worst rants I've ever read.
Indeed. The problem is the game doesn't go from easy to gradually harder it goes from extremely easy, moderate, VERY HARD AND UNEVEN to extremely easy, moderate VERY HARD AND UNEVEN, rinse and repeat for as many chapters as the game has. It's just the most stupidest format i've ever come across. It makes the beginning of each chapter at first fun and enjoying to challenging enough to "OMFG*Throws controller at monitor*" and does this time and time again so that it's just not fun after the fifth chapter. It's repetitive and annoying.
It's not the story mode... You are the one who suck.
Do yuou even know what you want brah?
First you are saying that only 4 or so fights with some character are not enough to learn him, and then you say, oh but there are some character that I don't even want to play with.
Well... it's a STORY mode, an interesting one, not a arcade ladder, and you are not allow to chose noob-saibot and shadow spam all the way trough it, deal with it.
No Ermac, No Shang Tsung, no Baraka, No Sheeva, No Quan Chi, no Sektor, no Kano, no Jade, Sindel or Mileena, no NooB, no Reptile...
Pretty much every one of my favorite characters is on that list too...
I hope in MK 10 there is 2 story mode options. Earthrealm side, and Netherealm side...
In Chapter 10 (Mortal Kombat 2 Storyline) Jade is playable. :)
Umm... you do play as Jade, did you even finish it?
- Just lower the difficulty from the Option Menu > Story Mode Difficulty > Set from Normal down to Beginner
- At the start of each chapter > Press Pause Menu > Go to Move List > Learn some basic moves for each character
- For Doubleteams > Block, Block, Block / hit on counter
Or do what I do, spam jump smash upercut on teams. If you're on Medium you can upercut jump chase half the health out of someone before they stop you
