SOLUTION : Two players on ONE/TWO keyboards . For the keyboard fans:)
I'm old school player of MK1/2/3 and especially MK4 and i always played on keyboard but i found very annoying thats it's impossible to play MK9 on PC with two or one keyboards (two players, two keyboards eliminate problem with how many buttons you can press at once, one keyboard should be PS/2 and other USB) because MK9 would see it as one device.

Solution is to EMULATE joysticks/gamepad, and there is very good program for it :

http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=vjoy

With this soft you can emulate 2 pads and bind it to keyboard, very easy to configure and works like charm.

This way you can play 2 players 1 pc with even 1 keyboard ( i don't recommend it because of key lag, not a problem when you have high end keyboard ).

As for the MK9 , very good game, pretty good port except the keyboard support which is tragic at best.

All the best for old school keyboard fans :D

Dude, thank you very much! It indeed solved our problem )))) Pitty, that the game itself isn't suitable for old-schooled PC players like us..
Thanks!

2 keyboards should work als long you use different buttons. i mean in windows u can, why should the programm block it?

It doesnt work , game sees it as single controler.
Only way to emulate joysticks.

Yes, you can have 2 keyboards in Windows but in game, chosen device is locked for another player.

Can you please give me some details about this emulator? I installed it but I can't figure how to connect my keyboards to it?

In this emulator you see a combo-box "Joystick device". There're two devices there. For each of them you must assign different keys on your keyboard for directions (up/down/left/right) and Buttons1-10 (at least). Don't forget to check the "enable" box on the upper left corner for each emulated joystick.
That's all. Now run MK and open the options to assign keys. Choose joystick controller. Set up two presets (one for each player and on the different set of keys, you've defined outside, in VJoy).
When you choose your combatants, each you you must choose the correct preset.

Enjoy!

This is exacly how it works .
Yes you can have two or even 5 keyboards under windows , but game will allways see it as one.
As for now this is only solution to play on single/two keyboards.

Thank you both for your help, works like a charm! :)

One more question, although it is mostly rhetorical; is there any way (or any other program) to override OS keyboard settings so that me and my friends can use the same buttons on both keyboards?

I just checked the versus mode and you can play on one keyboard without any additional software. Player 1 starts with G, player 2 starts with Numpad 4. As long as players don't have the same keys assigned it works fine just like in MK1-4.

So i might be the total ididot here but seriosuly. Am i the only one here that knows ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about anything here!?

The first thing i noticed when i opened this thing is all theese controlls and options whitch is not the problem. Its knowing where those fcking buttons are on the contoller.

I dont use consoles so i have no idea what they reprisent. i know witch ones are square, circle and X, and the xbox version its an X, Y, B , A. But here its...

Button 1
Button 2
Button 3
etc..

.......What the actuall ♥♥♥♥

Am i supposed to know what button 1 is?
Yeah. i see a button here and there... theres another button... and thats a stick..
Now witch is what button?
I first thought that the picture of a controller on the bottom right was going to show me the controlls like if i went with my mouse over to one of the keybindings it would indicate on the picture what i was going to bind.

Like if i drag my mouse over to the button 1 id be a red dot maybe on one of the buttons but nope! its just there to let you know ''this is a controller hurr durr'' yeah. like i didnt know that in the first place. the picture is utterly usless and has no reason to be there!

Atleast they could have added a little map on that controller like a line to each of the buttons telling you what the hell the are. Its not that hard! if i knew what those are i could go use paint and drag a bunch of lines on the picture each from a specific button with a simple ''number'' on it. 1, 2, 3, etc. It would take ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3 MINUTES.

And that's about it for my rant. If someone could provide me with a map id be greatfull.
