in the earlier parts of the game this option was available
Does anyone know how to do that?

MK is all about blood and violence

Wow, you want to turn off blood in a mortal kombat game? That wouldn't make it a mortal kombat game...
Astronom Jul 8, 2013 @ 12:07pm
there's too much of it here
it should be optional
in previous parts there was less blood so it never bothered me

You better learn to like it, boy.

Well there really is no official way to turn it off, but I am sure once modding for this game picks up that could be an option.

There's no such thing as too much blood in a Mortal Kombat game.

You call this blood!? Try playing Deadly Alliance now that is one bloody game!

i do like MK, and it's not only about blood but about a special atmosphere
just here there's too much of blood which makes it too unreal

I hate to burst yo bubble but it is looks unreal with or without blood
u talking about atmosphere so u mean arenas, how do u imagine fighting arena without blood? I guess u should just accept it and get used to it coz there's no way u can turn it off

Just briefly looking through the files, if you extract Coalesced.ini with mk9tools, in the mk9engine.ini file there are two entries listed as:
MaxFluidNumVerts=1048576
FluidSimulationTimeLimit=30.0

You could try changing those to 0 and see if that gets rid of it. Just a wild guess though.

just the fighters start to look like zombies very soon which i don't enjoy

i can c that i can't turn it off, but i'm sure that it's very simple to add this option
and this function works for challenge mode
so why not turn it on here

but those who love blood would still be able to play with it

i don't understand the motives of the makers
There is a code in the crypt to turn off blood you can enter in the code section.

Kind of ironic we went from having a "blood code" back in the day to a "no blood code" these days. lol

Edit: DL17 in the deadlands holds the "no blood" code.

....

Because a battle between two realms with people who spit acid, have ice powers, shoot fireballs from their fingers.. survive multiple gunshots ( insert any ability in the game ) is so realistic....
