Kombat Kodes no where to enter?

Hello, I just received MK and started playing and noticed that I can purchase Kombate kodes, however, when I go to the "VS" screen there is no where to enter the codes? Any one else having this problem or now a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the codes i believe are entered as you start a match. you will have 6 card looking things. and a button to corspond for them. (i think you can only do 3 for you). so then you make the cards look like the code.

The codea are entered during a versus match(2 players or online player match; not ladder, Test your Luck or online Ranked match)

unfortunately is not available vs cpu, only vs human playerfs.
