Regardless of how you may view it, that is why the game can longer be purchased.
That's a whole separate issue. You should still be able to play the game it's just not available for purchase anymore.
MK9's port onto PC was pretty bad so no doubt it's your game.
That would involve getting somebody to do that for a decade old game. It's far easier to just remove the game from store pages.
Every other theory has been mentally retarded, ranging from "They want to censor boobies!" to "WB hates old games" so the most likely possibility was that Freddy's distribution was up and rather than remove him from the game (as shown in another thread, people would have hated this regardless of the alternative) they simply got rid of the game entirely.
With the way licenses work, its entirely possible that MK Mobile in particular has a longer license than MK9 did, or perhaps even a perpetual agreement.
But that game came out way later than 9. And now it's been up for about the same time MK9 has been sold (6 years).
There has been never a confirmation that MK9 got pulled because of Freddy. I dunno, and at this point, who cares.
PC still has multiplayer functionality, I tested it.
