Do I have to redo my room setup every time? (floor level wrong)

I love using standable but the floor level is always wrong and redoing my room setup is the only solution I've found.

Fix:
Place your controllers on the floor before turning them on.

I've tried recalibrating.
I've tried putting my controllers on the floor while calibrating.
I've tried putting my controllers on the floor before calibrating.
I've tried disabling everything, restarting, and then enabling it again.
I've tried restarting with the addon on.
I've tried restarting with the addon off.
I've tried recalibrating inside of my playspace.
I've tried calibrating outside of my playspace.

Am I doing something wrong?
I love using it and it works perfect after redoing my room setup. It's just a pain to do since my room is too small for steamvr, so I have to set it up in a really annoying way (going inside my closet, over my desk, under my bed, under my piano, etc etc).
