Mountaincore
abandonned game still being sold?
game caught my interest, but it looks like development has ceased? If that's the case why is it still being sold as early access/in development?

There is no accountability when the developers of games go out of business, etc. And Steam is still making money off garbage being sold, so they don't care that people are buying garbage.
It is good but it needs someone to pick it up and improve it.

And there is no one left who can do that. That's the problem here.
? there are plenty of ppl that can do that...
Its a matter of if its worth their time to do.

@Stormbow YOU could be the one to do it, might take a few years, but you could do it...
If anyone wants to pick it up, the base project 'king under the mountain' that this game was built ontop of is on github, for free. Check the developers last post

That's not how it work... Even if someone took the project from gitup they would have no right of making money from it, but the game would still be sold and the right owner would still make money from the old steam version.

Why would anyone bother?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it explicitly states on GITHUB that it has been released to MIT License. Which quote "Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy

This dont change that the game is still being sold on Steam. If some people decided to take up the free version, made by people that dont get paid, they would advertise the abandoned game too. If this happened some people would start to buy this abandonware.

This kind of game is nowhere near hard enouth to make for people to take this one up, if someone had the skill they would make their own game or mod a game that was not abandoned.

He could. How many people would support him financially during the process Is the real question though
