Portrait of Ruin Death Achievement

So I'm almost done with all of the games and was looking through the achievements and noticed that I'm missing the one for beating Death in Portrait of Ruin even though I clearly did. Do you not get it when you skip the cutscene afterwards? Anyone else got that problem? I'm down to replay the game but just curious

I didn't skip the cutscene and it looks like the achievement cleared just fine for me, so that might be it. He is one of the few bosses that doesn't give EXP so who knows.

I met this problem on Nintendo Switch too. I skipped every cutscene and after beating the game, I found that I missed that achivement.

Hey, yea so I replayed the game up to Death and ye skipping that one cutscene seems to be the problem. The achievement triggered in the middle of the cutscene and like Breadsticks mentioned Death does not give EXP so it probably causes some problems with the achievement triggering. If you have a save thats before Death you can reload it otherwise you'll have to do it like me and just replay the game up to that part. Also killing him on Richter mode does NOT trigger the achievement. Pretty sure it has to be Jonathan & Charlotte
