How well does this play on steam deck

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if anyone has played this at all on deck. Mainly want to know if there's any issues with controls/gameplay.

Im Currently trying to REMAP the controls.

So far LEFT UP RIGHT AND DOWN arrows are set to DPAD
A=Z on keyboard
B=X on keyboard
START=tab on Keyboard

Then i gave up :/

No real issues with the steamdeck ... When connected to a monitor I had no issues playing with a PS5 controller, but taking disconnecting it from the dock and trying to use the controls on the steamdeck wouldn't work except for exiting the game and booting back in....

DS games seem to have no issues, however the Haunted Castle remake has problems with music (stage/boss music plays but nothing else). Tried a few different Proton versions but no change.

finished haunted castle remake and a few hours into DoS. its perfect so far on an oled deck

Running fine for me, take the control as xbox, on pc is also working fine with the PS5 controller, both are supported. I like it better in steamdeck beacause it has low resolution and it looks better in the small screen

Works really well actually. Even the DS touch controls have been translated without any issues on SD.

Just a little reminder: if you force the resolution to 1280x720 (or lower) via the game properties ("Properties" -> "General" -> "Game Resolution") and also click "Set resolution for internal and external display", you can scale/zoom the image via FSR using the Steam Deck quick menu.

I personally recommend "Fill", "FSR" and sharpness 3 and using the second DS-Window configuration. You are only losing a few pixels from the secondary DS screens but gain about 10% or so for the main screen. Looks really nice. :)
