I wonder how stylus controls for other two titles are handled; Portrait of Ruin's Sisters mode and Order of Ecclesia's Albus mode.
This.
Fellas, is it gay to...adapt a hardware-bound mechanic to a port to a different platform? 🤷🏽♂️
Listen man, I'm the biggest defender of the original magic seal system and even I know this take is bait.
I guess it is if you're a Nintendo fan.
Man I don't know but I just beat the Flying Armor boss and all of a sudden I want to listen to Donna Summer songs nonstop.
Oh, you mean like how people who used DeSmuME in the before-fore times did it?
I never liked that. In theory, it's super cool, but in reality, it was frustrating. Sometimes I barely beat a boss, then tried to do the seal, got it wrong, and then had to fight the boss again.
It always felt they wanted to use the stylus in some way (as it was an early DS title), and they simply forced it in.
Another example was the blocks of ice... it was a totally useless power.
I'm glad they learned that they were not forced to use the stylus in later titles...
In fact I vaguely remember it was a Nintendo mandate at the time, or at least people assumed it was.
