Far Cry 6 just downloaded 51Gb but I can't see why

Game validated as fine, had to re-install the crappy UBIsoft Connect, all working again - Phew!

Apparently, HD texture is added as a DLC now which is around 60 GB(51.2GB if downloaded).
What you need to do is open farcry 6 properties, go to DLC tab and deselect HD texture pack than verify the game again.

That DLC was weeks ago and I already had it installed, so no, it's not that either.

As I said, the game is now working, the issue was the UBI software :/

I too had HD texture pack already installed. But the download size is exactly same as the download size of HD texture pack. Yes, DLC was added weeks ago but it was not optional at that time. They made it optional yesterday hence the 51 GB download.

So we chalk this one out as HD-textures DLC option update.
Same happened on my end, it DL-ed the 51GB, turns out it went back to 170GB and had to manually untick DLC option to remove again.

The HD texture pack is indeed available as DLC now, and we've had no other updates, so this is probably what you've seen downloaded. Please note the minimum VRAM requirements for using it if you decide to give it a go.

Thanks for clarifying. However, If we already had it installed, why would it need to be downloaded again?
Not that it matters now, nearly a month later, this would have been a helpful reply at the time of it happening ;)
