how to fix Stuttering
Hi,

I have recently bought this game, I love the graphics and the game overall but the issue is that I sometimes get weird stutters that seem to not drop my frames. I have seen this with the fps counter that I have enabled and it doesn't show any signs of frame drops. This issue doesn't seem to be fps stutters from these conclusions. Anyways, my pc should be able to easily handle this game, as it is an above-average computer, here are my specs:

Ryzen 5 5600x
RTX 3070
16 GB of 3200mz ram (set in bios too)
Samsung 970 evo plus 500 GB ssd

I believe that these specs should easily be able to run Far Cry 6 with it fully optimized, however, I have lowered many things and disabled the HD graphic features and I'm still getting these stutters. The game has a built-in benchmark tester which I used and it shows that I get the average 60 fps that my monitor can support, with a low of 58 fps. (I have enabled v-sync because I don't have a really good monitor) This specific issue doesn't really happen in other games, however, something similar has occurred where I get minor fps stutters but this issue doesn't seem to be fps-related so I can't conclude that it is a repeating problem. I hope this helps and someone can reach out and help me fix this issue.

Thank you!

1.Stuttering =/= framerate drops. It's frametimes spikes aka frameskipping.Use Afterburner or other 3rd party monitoring software & enable frametime graph to see those spikes
2.FC6 has weird visual stuttering not related to framerate or frametime.Happens randomly.Engine bug or something. Can't be fixed

Your system is simalar to mine and I have the same issue at times, its not very well optimized

Ryzen 7 2700x
16GB DDR4 3000
RTX 3070

Well, it can not be fixed.
Mine is similar to yours, same issue at times. Far Cry 6 will not run properly even it is fully optimized. Eating up RAMs and crash without any warning.

i7-11800H, nVidia 3070 DDR6 8GB, 32GB RAM, 4K screen.

because they either have more VRAM then us, HD Textures turned off, or have lower settings

some players don't care about the graphics and want more framerate

Pretty obvious stuff.Different hardware+bad optimization/bugged engine combo. Some people are less sensitive to micostutter

I had a stutter problem every few seconds and solved it by deleting the cache in the ubisoft connect app settings and changed the cache folder location to the faster HDD where the game is located

Some are trying to run it at 4k others are not.

Im running with ryzen 7 7800 x3d, 4070, 32 gb ram, ssd samung 980 and after like 10 hours gameplay i got this enoying small stuttering every few secounds.

I tried with cpu lasso and follow some dude that told that he got that fixed with it.
It helped me, but not 100%.

But what got it fixed for me was just clear cache, restarted pc and back to normal!

old 7th gen i7 32 gig, Old RX580 - 8 gig , heavily modified winblows 11 enterprise edition with all the BS security removed. Well ,that you can. PFFT hate 10-11 garbage. Game runs fine 4k. Finished it once just to get new game +. no desire to play it again. Missions are too overly scripted . Bring a chopper to an AO ,Cut scene, back to game chopper gone , they tell me have to go get one. Overly scripted BS! besides New Dawn and 2, the worst of the series

There was one and only cause of this for me, on a 7800X3D and a 4090: I had to disable the Geforce Experience In-game Overlay

Thanks for the confirmation, Haven.
Looks like different steps from basic PC troubleshooting are applicable here.
Disabling 3rd party overlay, clearing cache or turning some graphics options down.

I will close this thread now as resolved.
If you come across different issues, please create a new one.
