download speed very slow

I'm not sure if servers are under pressure or what, I usually get 10Mbps but now only getting 2Mbps, any idea?

It's doing the same thing to me, just bought the game and ussally my downloads are doing within an hour or 3 on the other far cry games but this one took over 24hrs.

There's more than one Steam download server, there's dozen around the world.

We have no information here to determine if it's you or Steam. My guess is Steam, but hey - with those speed you might be using ADSL with dodgy copper in the rain - we just don't know.

In your settings 'download server' is usually set to auto, you can specify another. I get faster performance from the country next door, which is a known issue in my country for years. Not that it's slow slow, for this particular game it was a difference of 40~45min download vs 25~30min - either is not bad for 170GB.

or it could be that you are sharing the bandwidth with someone in your family
and if you are on wifi you could try to use ethernet instead

Hi, kida late to the party, but I have exactly the same issue. Internet is super fast as always, no lags, full speed on internal and external speedtests, but FC6 is downloading with around 5 megabytes when other games download with over 100... Bytes, not bits.
