Former redeemed rewards not in game (charms, etc)

I had this game on Ubisoft and refunded it a long time ago, but in the mean time I had used credits to unlock many of the games rewards (Chorizo chibi, libertad bottle cap charm, spooky pumpkin charm, etc). I have all the 12/12 common (white/grey) and 5/5 rare (blue) rewards.

But now that I own the game on Steam and am 2.5 hours in, these items are not in game.

I also didn't get the Yaran Pesos or Moneda. The Shift+F2 Ubisoft Connect menu shows the green check marks by these rewards... I even launched play through Ubisoft client itself, which just directed me to launch through Steam anyway.

Aren't the rewards only for the Ubisoft version?

I claimed these outside of the game through the Ubisoft launcher and it worked next time I launched the game, but, I never owned it on Ubisoft directly.

Unsure if that statement includes things like Ubisoft rewards earned with units.

And bought it again. You’re saying they should just be able to keep my Units and I don’t get the rewards? Cool.

It would be one thing if refunding a game refunded any units used on that games rewards, or at the very least uncheck that I ever redeemed the rewards, and allow me to use units again (paying double) to unlock them again. Keep the units.. I’ll earn more, that’s whatever. But they’re permanently unlocked now (as indicated by the green check marks) and I don’t have them. Great system.
