I have over 4Tb free to play with too but doesn't mean I want to squander 52gb on languages and dlc that I have zero use for either.

If your fine with it, leave it all just as Ubi dumped it. Your hard drives your decision.
All I am saying here is it would have been nice of ubi to let players decide this for ourselves prior to downloading bloat and unnecessary wear and tear on a SSD.

Wait, are you telling me that it's that big because it has DLC in it that I can't play until I pay them? I don't know if all games do this with their DLC, but this that just seems messed up.

I know of quite a few games that include DLC or expansions along with an update or installation, regardless of whether you actually own them or not.

In this folder, by name, you can find everything that you do not need. For example other languages and HD textures. Proceed with caution, but with HD textures I don't think you can go wrong. 44 GB file and a few others. But I haven't risked it yet.
You have to search for everything manually. Risky. Ubi doesn't care. For the sake of variety, it would be possible to add a selection function - not to install other languages and HD textures, but why? Take everything at once. 171 GB. Why not? lol
However, if you install the game from Ubi-Connect, then the game without extra files will take up 103 GB (GOTY with all DLC's). There is a difference.

Yes. There are literally no benefits to buying the game on Steam.

Not true, it annoys ubisoft with less profit and i use steam as my gaming hub. is always on really.

I have the game on Ubisoft and just checked it. Base game with the HD texture pack, it comes out to 148GB. Not sure if it's the same on Steam but that is what the size of my game is at.

edit: Just looked at the Store page and it says 170GB.

170 GB its kinda reserved space for updates. For example Payday 2 says that it takes 80 GB, but downloading only 30 GB of something
