I left task manager open in background
I ran fc6 with windows 8 compatibility
I Updated my drivers
and still nothing🔥
Then explain how my game runs at 40 fps before opening any menus, and then at 9 fps after opening a menu
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering FPS drops when opening menus/maps in Far Cry 6.
In order to best assist with this issue, we do have a few troubleshooting steps we can suggest:
• If possible, install Ubisoft Connect and the game on the same drive as your OS
• Verify the game files
• End unnecessary background processes via Task Manager
• Unplug non-essential peripherals (extra monitors, controllers, VR equipment, etc.)
• Clearing the Ubisoft Connect cache file.[www.ubisoft.com]
All of the troubleshooting steps in this FAQ article.[ubi.li]
I can see a few folks here have advised that the issue improved with FSR disabled in-game.
We'd also recommend checking whether these FPS drops persist on all graphical settings, if you lower them.
We also have a troubleshooting guide for higher resolutions.[www.ubisoft.com]
Let us know how you get on!
- Ubisoft Support
It's the same problem as in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
there I posted everything with video and hardware and also when it happens and not just through the menu.
in FC6 it wasn't as bad for me i bet but when i play breakpoint the crap is still in the game
so I gave up sending bug reports UBI is only hurting itself by doing this.
Ps: Fluid Frames doesn’t work here, no fps gains .
And then something else VSync doesn't work with G-Sync anyway
G-Sync or Freesync is the better technology anyway and the games should also work with it.
Yeah seems like Memory Leak issue that causes VRAM usage to spike. That's why it gets worse for them who use UHD texture pack

SO many of us with the same issue, and just bog standard blah blah blah "support" which are things we've all tried.
WHY does this even occur? My partner and I are running the exact same rig, and yet only one of us has this error...so how is this possible? Also noticed we have different VRAM usage despite using the EXACT same settings and we both own the EXACT same model of PC! Crazy. I won't be supporting this BS from you again, Ubisoft - that's the last money you get out of me, and I'm someone that's been playing Farcry since the first game was even released. Gutting.
