Why doesn't "E" work?

Am trying to pick up the 4th object and when I get to it, it say click "e" to pick up. Well I clicked e about 150 times and nothing happens....so the game is stuck...Is there something I'm missing?

did you bind that key to another game function >? by mistake >?

or is it possible your keyboard needs to be replaced >? did you try a different Keyboard >?

thank you.....it also said something about possibly using the machete and picking the object up, maybe I'm supposed to use the machete on the object first? However don't know how to use the machete....do you know how? Thanks and sorry for the trouble
