cant find 'new game' option on the menu to start a new game in far cry 6?

Im hoping someone can help me here/will know the answer
I cannot start a new game…not New Game+ but just a plain normal new game, for Far Cry 6
Although I have Far Cry 6 via Ubisoft, I cannot find a forum there to answer this. Nor any answer (that works) on a Google search

Simply, when I try to start another run thru for Far Cry 6, last having completed 6 months ago, there is NO option to start a new game??
There is an option to start a New Game PLUS…which I don’t want…but even if I did want it its greyed out so can’t do that either

Here is what I tried:-

1) I deleted and reinstalled the game…twice, restarting computer in-between
2) I deleted the Fary cry cache
3) I uninstalled Ubisoft connect, and reinstalled it

Im stumped!
Each time I try to start the game it takes me to where I left off 6 months ago, when I DID complete the game but it gave me the option, which I took to wander around the islands in Insurgency

Anyone have any idea what I can do to play this a s a new game?

uhm, click "new game" and then select a save slot

also back up your old save to another folder
(in case you wish to keep it for new game + at a later date )

then delete all saved files in your UBI connect far cry 6 save game folder

you can find them here and turn off the silly cloud save function in UBI connect settings manually back up your own saves

remember anything you unlocked with far cry 6 credits will remain unlocked as they are tied to your account

Sounds related to a 'Save slot', as @Potato said.

If all your 3 save slots are full, delete one or more and then choose an empty one.
