It's a malignant sickness carried by self indulgence in all criminal tyrants or dictators. The ending is a shock but well written. There are still many Anton's in this real world who step by step act in a similar fashion, just have to watch the news. Ubi-Soft have nailed it very well.
I didn't say it wasn't written realistically. I said it was written unsatisfyingly. It's a game, not a movie. We're playing it, not watching it. Let us finish it the way a game is supposed to be finished.
I get what you're saying, though.
The changes in game development are always on the move to somewhat suit newer and more open minded players who enjoy the 'weave' or path of the next issue. and possibly 'shop back' to other titles they may have missed. That's good business.
For myself it is thinking outside the square or norm crafted by the writers and actors against what went beforehand, and in that perspective producing new story lines and 'cultures' which may surprise and throw a lot of curved balls at the player's former habits of involvement or more usually accepted game play.
FarCry 6 is the optimum and continuous pursuit of that creativity in it's game design by a well packaged production of all those parts mentioned. It has to be seen as it is. Standalone, and not compared to former historical titles from the past and previous productions in this genre.
