HDD Storage - 170 GB or 60 GB?

How comes that the Steam specs of Far Cry 6 Standard Edition are 170 GB HDD space, but on Ubisoft it's said to be 60 GB?
I've installed it via Steam and the folder is indeed 171 GB massive!
Has anyone purchased it via Ubisoft and could tell me the size plz?
Maybe on Steam all the DLCs are installed, but locked. That would be weird though, especially cuz they're not listed in the DLC-Section.

Yes, 171 GB on steam install, 60 GB on ubisoft install

DLCs are installed, but locked. It happen on some game, is possible.

because developers are too lazy to make steam depots for each language and dlc files which allow you to download what you need only
so no steam depots so you download the whole game with all DLCs and all other languages that you don't need

Back when CoD Warzone 1 was released, the folder was 120 GB, so I thought it also comes with MW installed, but locked. This year I bought the whole game and the folder increased to 192 GB... wtf! So I thought my theory with installed but locked content (maybe to improve sales) is wrong. So I guess it's not.
Well, gonna refund Far Cry 6 and get it via Ubisoft then.

you can just delete hd textures pack and dlc yourself from the game folder, but still you need 170 gb to install the game

its 171GB on steam but keep at least 300 - 350GB free because its a 136GB download that is used temporary while uncompressing to 171GB where it will be installed

another player on here tried it with 190GB free and they couldn't cause they didn't have that temporary space available

SSD's are cheap now you can get a 1TB one for $30 - $50

Well i have the game and dlc on ubisoft but the only game on steam. Is good news for me :)

Thank you friend, do you know how to fix FPS drop when turning the mouse? The game itself works well, but when I use the mouse even in the main menu, the fps drops...

I can only suggest making sure all drivers are up to date. Motherboard, video card and mouse software. I've not experienced issues with the mouse myself, but then I don't use any frame monitoring software. It's worth playing with overlays disabled as in theory that could make a difference.

when i last deleted it at end of 2023, the Far cry 6 folder was using about 250GB of space. it should only take at most 50gb but there is no effort to control size anymore. you pretty much out of luck if you are stuck on old dsl.
