I'm not the biggest fan of rogue-lite games either and didn't realise the DLC's are of that nature. Shucks.
I brought the Deluxe Edition and I do not have regrets. I finished it and am doing a few post game things now before I move onto something else. I think the main game is pretty good and while has some problems it gets bashed on here unfairly. Anyway the Deluxe edition includes the base game and....
Croc Hunter Pack
45/70 weapon
45/70 Cartridge vehicle accessory
Croc Tooth weapon charm
The Bushwhacker outfit
Off-road vehicle
Jungle Expedition Pack
Compass weapon charm
SBS weapon
The Adventurer outfit
Vice Pack
Champagne - a white panther companion
Golden Bullion weapon charm
Letter Opener vehicle accessory
Skorpion weapon
The Miami Strip outfit
Convertible vehicle
I also went for deluxe and have not found a reason to splash on the fringe dlc.
