but in ubisoft support there's an announcemnt saying they are having problems with all their on line services? maybe it is related to that?
One of the changes is removing the distribution.steam file from the game, for whatever reason this file is necessary.
To fix this simply open notepad and click save as on an empty document, save it as distribution.steam with "All Files" selected for Save as Type.
Be sure to save it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 6\bin or whatever your Far Cry 6 game's directory is.
Once the file is saved into the folder the game should run normally again.
the .steam is the EXTENSION of the FILENAME: distribution
MAKE SURE to place the distribution.steam in the Far Cry 6 BIN Folder.

make sure you have the game on your ubisoft launcher.
try to verify integrity on steam and if you installed any mods, remove them.
Same here, it doesn't show up in my uplay account... That sucks... i was looking forward to play it...
- relogin to Steam and Ubisoft Connect
- creating a new account in Ubisoft Connect
- complete removal of Ubisoft Connect from the hard drive, with all temporary files and registry entries
- unlinking synchronization in Ubisoft Connect from Steam and binding again (via another Ubisoft - "Flashback", since this is impossible to do through Far Cry 6)
- advice from this thread on creating a distribution.steam file
- file integrity check
- reinstall the game (twice)
- restart pc(well lol)
- try to use vpn
All this will not help in any way, and, i think, those who are supposedly helped by it are just a coincidence.
I tried contacting Steam support, explaining everything in detail. They replied that the problem was not on their part and that me needed to contact the publisher.
I create a ticket to Ubisoft support, they still haven’t responded for 3 days.
But, 48 hours later (approximately), after the first attempt to launch the game, suddenly the degenerate Ubisoft launcher detected the game,
and I was finally able to launch it.
Ubisoft seems to have real problems with synchronization between them and Steam.
And Ubisoft support is simply useless.
