Thought about buying...
...but then i saw it has ♥♥♥♥ that is Denuvo in it.
My limit for garbage in Ubisoft games is limited to launcher. Especially when we are talking about huge security vulnerability that DRM.
Game was cracked long time ago, why this trash is still in it?!?!? Because only reason to have it still is if Ubisoft wants to ♥♥♥♥ on players.

"huge security vulnerability?"

stop spreading reddit misinformation

It's not a security vulnerability in any capacity. Do I think it's going to impact performance? In my playtime (uplay like over a year ago), I think don't think it does anything.

I always think about how funny it is that people are like, "surely if I download this, I will be singled out since I am so important and have many valuable items on my PC worth hacking."

these anti-denuvo fanatics don't use their brains, they just parrot whatever misinformation they see on reddit

they don't know what denuvo is or how it works and don't do their own research

Well maybe if they get access to my data, next game will have some Riley Reid in it.
Sign me up!

Is there a reason you are required to play through Ubsoft? Is it like the EA games where you have to have an EA account before you play a game purchased on Steam?

"Denuvo is bad because other people told me it was bad." - OP

You guys really need to stop with this fear-mongering and misinformation BS.

A lot of independent labs have done extensive testing and found issues. Some large mainsteam developers have also commented about the issues it causes.

Continual writes on SSD reducing lifespan and loss performance. I use NVME so I have no idea if that is also a problem but I would expect so. For me I just avoid it as I don't want it.

Fortunately some games come without it later in the release cycle anyway or people can just choose to avoid it.

that was spread by one guy on reddit and has been debunked nearly a decade ago as denuvo isn't handled by the ssd, it's handled by the cpu

almost a decade later and people still spread the same misinformation

I like to frequent crackign forums, where they discuss this stuff. Denuvo is well known to be an excellent tool for injecting malicious software into user computer. Their goal is to prevent game being cracked, security is not really high on their list of priorities. If at all.

Nobody cares about you specifically. But your computer could make fine addition to bot network for example.
Not to mention being targeted by things like ransomware. And if you dont pay, whatever, just wipe out your drives, or brick your computer and move to the next in a long list of compromised computers. You are not special, merely part of assembly line.

I dont need to know what it is, when i can see people that actually make a living cracking this crap, talk about it.
I do find it funny how people that know nothing about DRM, are acting high and mighty, calling everybody else "misinformed". Brainiacs that probably believe official narrative that Denuvo does not impact performance either, despite the fact that testing found majority of games, that have this crap, being impacted to various degree.

*facepalm*
While jury is still out when it comes to question of Denuvo damaging hardware or not, this comments shows complete lack of understanding how hardware works. Ignorance is a musthave trait for corporate bots.
Denuvo rewrites certain parts of the code that it is then keeps in memory, while making constant calls to server. Saying that it is handled by cpu and not ssd shows complete lack of understanding how programming works. For any code to be processed by cpu, it has to come thru memory. Usually it is ram, but if there is not enough of it, it can be pulled directly from hard drive, albeit at slower rate.
