Because you never know what Steam specific ♥♥♥♥ will break a game.

How often does that happen? Even if there were issues any Ubi game you buy on Steam can be launched through Ubi connect

5700XT, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of Ram and the benchmark gives me an average of 100 frames at high settings in 1080p. There's no stuttering and the game feels smooth.

First off there's a ton of benchmarks on Youtube.Second,I played the free weekend demo about 2 months ago and here's a short summary:
specs:gtx1060 3gb,i3-9100f,2x8gb ddr4-2400 cl13,game was intalled first on HDD,then moved to SSD(no difference)
perf.:
---1080p medium settings with highest texture resolution & texture filtering(aniso filter x16) - 40-60fps with frequent microstutters;
---1080p lowest possible settings - 50+fps with the same amount of stuttering
Stuttering is somehow related to garbage optimization of old 4-core CPUs WITHOUT hyperthreading.There's no bottleneck,but it's stuttering(skipping frames)

The game has annoying stutters PC - i5 10400f (usage 30%) 16GB DDR4 (11gb usage) 1070 8gb ( 90% usage 5gb) Medium 1080p HD Textures OFF , my card can run the game at 60 ultra but due to these strong stutters i play on medium it reduces but dont fix entirely

RTX 4090, i9 13900K, 64GB DDR5 7200Mhz. Runs absolutely flawless for me in 4K and max settings, even if i am rendering some videos in the background.
