Save game gone

Played it in the past and finished on Ubisoft launcher and now bought on steam and my save game is gone? what happened, why doesnt it link or something

Save doesn't link.
You need to download Via uplay and upload save to cloud. Then you can transfer it to steam version

Already tried and not have any save. Probably because i lost save in computer data? Because i formatted it time ago.

Edit: Not have automatic cloud save like older farcry.

Had the same problem, turns out the steam version has a different id number on Ubisoft Launcher, you have to copy your save files from your *UBISOFT LAUNCHER INSTALL FOLDER*\savegames\*randomcharacters*\5266 to the folder "920" (create it if needed) in the same place (If you have opened the game from steam already, make sure cloud synchronization is off on Ubisoft launcher, or it will just overwrite the new empty save)
