Granite 200000F error while starting new game

''Lad Failed. The saved game appears to be damaged and cannot be used''
error right from the start doesn't promise much of a game TBH.
Does anybody know some solutions/fixes to this error?

Just verify game files. This is an UBISOFT game so, UBI is required to run it. UBI had an update today. Start UBI only let it update. Then try the game. I never buy a game from a 2nd party that requires Their own service = too many issues. IF you bought the game from UBI, when you start the game UBI auto installs the required software that the game uses. I do not know if steam does this? The required software can be found in the game folder -

Far Cry 6\Support\Software\VCRedist make sure this is installed!

There is no fix for broken saves. Unless you keep a backup. This happens when "save" is interrupted = PC shut down- power out and even if you loose internet connection = "INTERRUPTED" save .... Or even silly PC security doing the wrong thing! I never allow any so called security near my PC's= too many issues. I have been with PC's since 1978.

Oh, I meant that broken save happened right after starting new game. No additional software, no power downs, nothing. But checking files helped. thx

Then the save "issue" was probably due to corrupt - incomplete game files. Normal
