Far Cry 6

What made Far Cry 6 maybe the worst of the series?
I enjoyed most of the series and I really loved Far Cry 5, but 6 feels annoying.

I tried to identify why and I think I figured it out... I think it is the constant collection of resources.

Or do you guys think it is some other mechanic of the game?

It was dumbed down to cater to a younger audience who cares less for a refined, sixth part of the series. After all, its first title launched 20 years ago. Instead, it is meant to attract the social media generation with a simple-minded story, an overdose of wokeness, and with flowers along the paths.

I am sure it attracted its audience, but it also lost many of the older fans who would have liked a proper continuation of the series. They could also just have stopped while they were ahead, left it at 5 titles, and started something new from scratch, but no. So who knows what the sales numbers would have looked like if they had not sold it as Far Cry 6.

It is not about a single mechanic being wrong. The entire vibe of the game is out of line for a Far Cry title, from game mechanics being dumber, the characters being mostly biased kids, all to a dictator who has a noble cause and commits suicide rather than to cut losses and run.
Couldn't care less if Ubisoft went woke so long as it was still fun so long as they didn't try to shove wokeness down my throat like recent Disney movies do, and as far as I can see the only "woke" thing is the female character (which doesn't bother me at all) and the lowered quality of work.

What bugs me is that FC6 is not even close to as good as the series used to be.

Maybe Ubisoft lost a lot of the good staff during covid and could not afford to replace them with competent ones.

Clown.

Stop being offended by everything. Touch some grass.
You stop being offended by those who actually have an opinion on the game. All you have is an opinion about those who you disagree with. You go and touch that grass now.
dictator who has a noble cause WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it was the best one of the series. Better weapon mechanics and mods. Story was good. Only thing I didn't care for was the companions. So I just didn't use them. Still playing it now and then while waiting for another game to buy.

You played FarCry, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, and Far Cry 5? And possibly even Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon?

Yes. Love the series. All of them were good except 5 - that was just a pain with the mystical capture mechanic. All good in their own way. I just like 6 better.
FC4 was good, FC5 was SUCH A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SLOG. Like omg was 5 slow as hell and boring AF. I really had no likeable characters and found myself just hoping everyone died. Never finished the game because even with mods to speed things up it was just a grind fest

FC6 actually feels closer to 4 imo. It feels like I am playing an action adventure game and not just doing random spawning events until the boss appears and it lets me complete the area and move on. The bad guy was also boring AF, like I get it, a corrupt militaristic religious nut, so something that there is tons of in America and isn't likeable like other villains. Meh

I guess your dishonesty and delusion could be one reason for your strange taste in games.
This is when Ubi really started pushing the woke crap hard. Easily the worst Far cry there's been. Hope they haven't destroyed 7 already.

What sort of "woke crap" is there? Aside from roasting the US (which most Central American countries do), I didn't see anything particularly "woke".

"Woke" means an agenda to make people aware of the supposed mistreatment or oppression of certain groups of people, and to change the way people think in order to change society.

Did you play the game? There's plenty.. Two glaring ones, the whole "trans in Yara" quest line, and did you notice the amount of "boss girls", I mean at least 50% of the fighters are woman (makes total sense right?) and pretty much all leaders are woman. Call it woke or DEI, all the same crap.

point out which part is dishonest or delusional instead of just trying to deflect
So far I feel it's simple. Dani aside, I hate almost all the characters. Yara feels like a doomed land with a slaving tyrant on one side and a bunch of crazed anarchists on the other. Dani feels like an extreme blank slate as well which makes the fact that she's one of two characters I don't want to punch in the face very irritating. Putting that aside and just focusing on the gameplay, however, I feel like everything is frustrating simply for the sake of it. I very much dislike abilities being mostly tied to gear, especially since it robs the game of a sense of progression and growth. Resources feel frustrating to obtain for no sake other than to make them frustrating. The world feels so... uninteresting and lifeless as well. It's got vibrant colors, sure, but I never feel curious about what's out there. Maybe I'm missing something, but one thing I loved about the prior games was that something interesting was always out there. But this...

It feels like they were trying to remake 3 'for a modern audience' and threw the baby out with the bathwater in doing so resulting in something frustrating where I hate everyone and I hold little interest in the world.
