For the record, I think the quest was called 'The Vanishing' but I don't remember.
If so, yes when you exit the bunker after killing it...[If I remember right anyway]...you are blasted to another area of the map and it seems like you failed the mission...
Then, if you go back to the bunker and shes talking to you again like you had not even started the mission, once you get there, it self resolves the mission and its over!
Nice to know it completes by just going back to the bunker.
FYI, once you defend the bunker door (which was really starting to piss me off), you have to run though the bunker (which will also piss you off) and then you get the end cut scene.
But UbiSoft still F**ked with this quest.
Update: I just went back to the bunker to finish it. It asks again to enter it, selected yes, got a cut scene, and then teleported base to Clara's base and CAN NOT fast travel.
WTF UbiSoft????
Seems that I need to complete any mission to fix
when I got back on the next day and was standing outside of the facility I was more "annoyed-move-on"
I'm just never happy about checkpoints let alone poorly positioned checkpoints, but i understand why they exist. A checkpoint that doesn't carry through a game exit is just very bad game design IMO. I love the rest of the game though.
It really only seem to be that mission though, I don't remember ever being quite as let down by the checkpoints in the other missions. Some were a bit frustratingly far apart but there was never a mission where you could literally go 3 chapters into and then have to restart if you mess it up. The Vanishing is by far one of the longest missions and probably would have deserved a few checkpoints. Like if at least I only had had to start Chapter 3 over, I wouldn't be complaining.
I think it's part of the base game actually. The DLCs are all based around villains from the 3 previous games and run in a separate game mode.
EDIT: yup, just double checked, it's part of the base game, you don't need to buy any DLCs to access it. To start the mission, you need to be in the Madrugal area of the map and wait for a call from Juan Cortez that sends you grab some C-4 in Rio the Plata.
