Wake the f** up.
Your way of life is over.
Praise the new day!
Well, not with this game in particular, but still.
That doesn't mean all of them are bad characters but it definitely is overdone and gets boring after a while.
-Lots of (morally good) women in authoritative and leadership positions, to the point it outnumbers males in similar positions. The one male who was the leader of his region had to sacrifice himself for the sake of female leadership while the brother was too incompetent to be a leader instead,
-Main antagonist is oppressive male who tries to teach his son how to also be oppressive, an indication of fathers perpetuating "toxic masculinity,"
-One major "male" character is revealed within the first interaction to be transgendered. Said transgendered male has a girlfriend (technically lesbian relationship), and their entire story line centers around their transgenderism. A minor antagonist is even killed for "misgendering."
-Former CIA man is a drunk and serves as comic relief, (typical trope about male stupidity)
-A speech in the prologue about how the "American dream doesn't come in our color." (in reference to black and brown skinned people not being white and therefore not having the same opportunities even though DEI gives them more benefits than whites)
-One of the characters from North America refers to the "Libertads" (the rebellious group that you work for) as "Libertards" which is obviously meant to represent American republicans and their slur for liberals as "libtards."
-A variety of other examples and that's just within the first 20 hours of play time.
Ubisoft tries to be sly with it by separating it as much as possible so that you don't notice it but it certainly exists despite what the naysayers will claim. I'm just glad I got the game on a generous sale and didn't pay full price.
I actually wish I could side with Anton Castillo in this game.
The Farcry Plots 1-6 and Primal
1. Some guy is being a ♥♥♥♥. Check ♂
2. Some guys friends are being a ♥♥♥♥ to. Check ♂
3. You are forced to climb atleast one stupid ass tower. Check ♂
4. You get captured a couple million times and resist the ♥♥♥♥, then 20 hours later you kill the ♥♥♥♥. Check ♂
5. They then make another DLC that either explains why the guy was a ♥♥♥♥ or they give you more ♥♥♥♥♥ to kill. Check ♂
6. Force animal companions up your ass, so that this game will be more appealing to women. Check ♀ Which is why Farcry 5 and New dawn were so much more popular, there were options.
This is the exact definition of a Far Cry game, and playing Far Cry 6, this is 1 billion percent a Far Cry game.
It's like law and order, the first one to talk gets the deal.
Wait is that an option? Tickle submission for the win.
