You're free to actually play the original game as it is now instead, unless you really hate good games for some reason.

Far Cry 1 was amazing back then.
But it will not hold up in 2024 no need for a Remake.

Far cry 1 does not support controllers and you can't play in handheld consoles...except if you have wireless keyboard and mouse...

I also would like to see a reskin of this game. NOT DX12 nonsense though. No idea why anyone would use a contoller on a PC? Yea, lets add more limitations.

far cry 1 is still owned by crytek

ubisoft only distributed the title , then bought the rights to make the rest of the games

so if you want a remake ....you'd have to contact CRYTEK

"ACTUALLY" if you know law, If UBI owns the title only they could release it under this name. Otherwise Crytek would have to release it under a different name.

This is why Bohemia interactive had to change the name from Operation flash point to ARMA for that series , as "codemasters" owned the rights to the title. When they split . rather nasty split too. Codemasters were their publisher, They wanted them to change the concept from PC to BOX friendly BI basicly told them to take the contract and put it where the sun don't shine. they can keep the name!

If you mean remaster by Crytek, then it's most likely because they're currently busy at making Crysis 4.

Crysis remaster still has bugged weapon sounds even after few years, if FC1 remaster would look the same, no, thank you. FarCry 1 had really good gunplay and sounds, this is really important.
