steam also works the same way .. with a ticket system and you have to wait for an agent to receive your ticket in order and respond to it
and no they do not respond to account issues on any open forum like this one ..only e mail or live chat
but steam does not have a twitter support option or a live chat option
UBISOFT DOES
remember you will need to provide proof of ownership of the account in question
see https://steamcommunity.com/app/2369390/discussions/1/4355620138223544483/
i laid it out pretty simply there ,of what you should do . but yes open your ticket then , make a twitter or X account and try to contact them there and yes share your ticket number with them ... , they seem to check twitter more often , but yes it may take time until an agent gets time to see and read your ticket .. try to make it as clear as possible
( and don't rage on them because you forgot to write down your own account details .... <---- very ---important ... )
i have had them respond in an hour or so in the past using that method , and had my nephew written down his ubi account e mail and password like i told him to , i would not have wasted that time waiting and helping him recover his account , yes he had to wait a few hours , but he got back online the next day with no problems and all his games were there ..
a little advise , always write down the e mail you use and the password you use for anything that requires any digital account , keep it in a lil book or even a sheet of paper in your PC case , it will save you hassle in the future
and remember you bought the game on a third party site .. steam is in fact a third party site for this and many other ubisoft games ,, the first party launcher is UBI CONNECT .. dvd copies do not need or use steam at all
and ubi connect is the main DRM used on the title
good luck ,, i hope you find your fix !
and yes i know how frustrated you are now man
but without showing proof of ownership of an account your gonna wait and no matter what you have to wait till they get to your ticket .. yea i get hassled by other steam users when i say use twitter .. but its works as a faster support option
just trying to assist you man ..don't get mad at me
games today are like bank accounts ,,and yes they take account security seriously
ok welI I think it's clear that you work for ubi... how long does it takes in general for agent to answer about an open case?
Thanks for info but still it's a bit frustrating if I have to "knock" everywhere to get their attention to my case compared to the steam support for example, where my problems were solved within days or even hours.
and as to steam support ?? i waited over two weeks for them to restore my account once .. hence my vac ban when some jackwad from russia or china hacked my account to play PUBG .. a game i got free in early access and never liked and never even had installed at the time of my vac ban as i had uninstalled it never thought about it and built a new PC when i was hacked
so please don't lecture me about how cool steam is... my account is 20 years old and i remember days having to pay for a service called TEN just to play duke nukem online ..and yep it required a e mail and password ..same as KALI and all the older game services worked .. same as today
What do you mean proof of account ownership? What exactly??? some emails or ...
steam saves your -proof of purchase in your account details
you need to show a screen shot of that in your support ticket to recover an account
for gods sake i even laid out how to take and save a screen shot in my post there
go read again
https://steamcommunity.com/app/2369390/discussions/1/4355620138223544483/
and yes UBI SUPPORT REPS RESPONDED THE NEXT DAY OF MY POST
GO LOOK
https://steamcommunity.com/app/2369390/discussions/1/4355620138223544483/
and thanked me for providing details on how to recover your account
see https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/account/article/unlinking-other-platforms-from-your-ubisoft-account/000096879
its not rocket science and they lay it out simply
does this answer your question???
or do you need to provide proof of ownership to recover your ubi log in details ???
sorry but that's how i took your question .. and yes for any account management recovery ...you need to make a ticket and contact SUPPORT
If you would read the topic details you would see that I don't have a problem accessing my ubi account, I asked it out of curiosity as how the ♥♥♥♥ would you prove that you are the owner of the account
I need to un-link psn account from my ubi account which I cant do in account management and it's said I need to contact support about it.
anyway I appreciate for all the passion and excitement you put into your answers, even with some life story...
remember it will also remove any cross play progression you have saved
i thought you didn't know the details of how to log in to your ubi account .. sorry man (i blame lack of sleep and heavy consumption of beer after work today )
and the reason they didn't respond most likely is its easily done in the account management page... or did not see your ticket yet ..you may get an e mail in a few days LOL
do you even read what you send me (facepalm)
I need to un-link psn account from ubi, BUT in future I want to link another psn account (my current one) to my ubi account
BUT
"You can unlink the accounts at any time. However, you will only be able to re-link the same account you had originally connected to your Ubisoft account."
"If you would like to link a different platform account to your Ubisoft account, you will need to contact us. "
its not rocket science
did i read it wrong .. yea but i had a long week ..and a few too many after work with getting 130 golf cars built, shipped and detailed with little sleep
again contact ubi support and use twitter
