Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6

I love the ubisoft formula
It gets a lot of criticism for its huge open worlds with seemingly endless repetitive side quests but I'm enjoying this pattern a lot in far cry 5 and 6. Can't wait to play assassin's creed and watchdogs.

really? I'll have to try, I have quite a contrarian taste on games i.e.: I found the last of us terribly boring and enjoyed games with bad reviews like days gone and the callisto protocol. Let's see if that one is bad enough to make me align with the popular opinion.

I consider myself a casual fan of both Far Cry and Assassin's Creed. I've played pretty much all the Far Cry games and most of the AC games but I don't really get too much into the store and lore (at least not with AC) but I like the games all in all. I appreciate their huge open worlds and I feel like you know what you're getting with their games so there's no need to hate on them. The mechanics are tights, the voice acting is top notch and while the stories can be hit-or-miss I find that they usually hit more than miss. When I want to lose myself in a fully realized open-world for a few hundred hours I know I can fire up AC: Odyssey or Valhalla or Far Cry 3, 4 or 5 and kill some time.

I get the negative criticisms but like I said: by now you should know what you're getting into before you play a game in either series.

I was so hyped for Valhalla because I had just finished watching the the Viking series on TV. The game started out great, super exciting, until about the 4 ~ 5 hour mark. Then you feel like the game becomes a chore, filled with bloat and super repetitive nonsense! I actually hate the game now. :steamfacepalm:

Your games are a lifeless shell of their former selves.

Assassins creed shadows is going to be a major flop just like your boring outlaws game.
Do you people even know how to make fun games anymore?

The start of Valhalla, when ur forced to play as a child for ages, walking around and talking to people. Whose idea was that? That’s not fun. It was so boring I turned it off and never turned it back on.

Take “the message” out of your games.
Make fun games that don’t involve chores or fetch quests.
Stop hiring based on race and sexuality.
Do better

its more that ubisoft started out making games for the gritty action hero fanatic with prince of persia, splintercell (if you didn't play splintercell it, look it up) they tried farcry a number of times each time changing the formula and its heyday being farcry 3 and 4 for a long time but hardly anyone knows of the half man half primal animal jack carver that could act like the predator taking out enemies in the jungle. then they found they could sell things online and turned a respected company into a cash grab gotcha product similar to the claw machines at the malls and arcades. whats more they leaned so hard into NFTs they became that weird guy at the highschool reunion no one wants anything to do with that aggressively wants to go into a new business adventure with everyone. the Ironic thing is they aren't any better than blizzard, dice, EA, Sony and the very worst of it all (ominous soul sucking theme music undertone required while mentioning its unholiness most fowl) Disney. Bethesda being the first to introduce awful microtransactions gets its own spot on a seperate list because they are just bad at what they do in sad and disappointing ways.

Hey now. No need to attack the little guy. This dev is still trying to maintain contact with the fanbase. He will be the last of the good guys and not be responsible for the big decisions. The bigwigs will not show up here unless PR demands it.

The Farcry formula is like McDonalds, it isn't the best, it isn't the worst, but you know pretty much what you are getting each time.
