I just bought the game, linked it to my Ubisoft Launcher and whenever i'll start the Game, Ubisoft wants a key from me? I cannot play... Why?

you need to install the updated version of ubi connect and yes restart steam and ubi connect

you might also want to reboot your PC

no cd key is given needed or used on ubi game anymore

You need to also login at the Ubi account, cause when you launch a Ubisoft game on steam will warn you about registering the game to the account. So you can also own a copy there.

make sure you only use one UBI account dont be silly and forget to write down the e mail you use as well as your password for any and all game accounts you create online

yes i know you bought the game ON STEAM but the main DRM and main launcher for this and all far cry games is UBI CONNECT ..NOT STEAM as valve did not create this game !!!

its the default DRM used on the title

if you create multiple ubi accounts you will have problems .. STEAM WORKS THE EXACT SAME WAY

your games are tied to the e mail and password you use when you open an online account

SO WRITE THAT STUFF DOWN store it in a lil address book or even a sheet of paper you can slide in the bottom of your PC case

thats HOW DIGITAL GAMES WORK

also steam might have installed an older version of the ubi connect software with your game

you should DL and install the updated version

I found that if I closed that window asking for the activation code and then opened Steam and ran it from there, it worked fine. (Just leaving this here in case anybody else was looking for the solution like I was.)

To troubleshoot this issue we advise you to apply the following steps in this order >

1. Check no updates are waiting to be downloaded and that Ubisoft Connect is fully updated
2. Verify the game files of the game you are trying to launch in both Steam and Ubisoft Connect, to see if this will initiate an update >
