If it's not that, then I don't know. I have over 30 hours in game and I'm using standard textures at 1440p and it looks good to me.
Because it's not true.
Having said that...your GPU can't handle the HD Textures without issues. This is why your graphics end up looking bad.
Tbh , i've seen many yt comparison videos, and found no significant difference in lower resolutions like 1080p/ 1440p... only on 4k sometimes i've seen some 10-20% difference ...which is not worth tbh for the extra space it needs

Actually it can't. That is why you are having issues. You don't have enough VRAM for the HD Textures.
thats why in all modern games if u go out of vram u see ur RAM usage goes up significantly
