Just finishing up a base capture, jump off a wall, and the parachute button is grayed out...

So I fell and died. What the hell why would they decide right at that moment to disable the chute?

I just noticed this too when going to the stranger things mission in the mountain bunker. Luckily I use the medic backpack.
Hope someone else can have input why this happens sometimes.

were you within range of an anti air gun maybe? I have noticed they do effect even the wingsuit and parachute

Yeah if you're within anti air zone it'll be grayed out. I noticed this in esperanza jumping from high places... can't use parachute lol.

It could also possible be related to the phone calls that are made right after mission or objective completions. They prevent certain actions like fast travel.

Parachute did not work for me so many times 2. Died like 10 times + just because that dang thing didnt want to open.

its happened to me too where the prompt to open parachute or wingsuit doesn't work when jumping off ledges, but most times it works fine

I just died because of a parachute bug again. I used that Fire Supremo with dash skill while jumping + parachute and insta died. THe fall dmg would be 0 but for some reason I instantly died even when the fall was like 2 seconds max. Not sure why this happened.

Works most of the time.
When it hasn't worked for me then the prompt is completely missing, not greyed out.
Doesn't seem to matter if it's an anti-air zone, and I've managed to wingsuit/parachute in air-air zones.

Just captured a base, took off in a heli with the intent to wingsuit/parachute to a nearby objective and I suddenly had neither. Fortunately I landed in water (from 100s of feet up) so I was fine.
