this game stutters
I lowered my graphics to high, locked the framerates to 60 fps, using an i7-8700k, 32 gigs of RAM, and an RTX-3070 ti and this dumbasshell game still stutters. Unbelievable, I even upgraded to Windows 11 a few days ago and it still stutters.

UBISOFT are serious dirtbags. We are talking infamy in terms of Quality Control. Their old games work but their new ones just don't and they do not care. I've got the graphics turned down so low that it looks like a game from the mid 2000's but runs like I'm using a potato to play it. My PC runs everything else but this game. Runs it well. But not this game.

It's not the game's problem. Your buffer probably can't store everything and is relying on RAM. Lower texture quality and remove HD texture pack if you installed it. Turn off RT as BVH trees also require a lot of VRAM especially in open-world games.

Look, your rig might be an up to date powerhouse, you might be sporting DDR5 RAM, an RTX 40 series, that CPU might be an i9-13900k, but I still know this game is messed up. It's not programmed correctly.

When you read the specs for this game and the rig you use is smack in the middle and you can't play the game without stuttering even on the lowest graphics settings, when you see how this game SUCKS up CPU usage more than the graphics card it's obvious that something is not right.

Comparing it to Farcry 5, it came out in 2018 and it looks better than this game maxed out on Ultra settings yet with the same rig I have no problems running it.

This game looks WORSE than that game on ULTRA settings.

you can't run the HD settings in FARCRY 6 unless you have a graphics card 12 gigs of VRAM. That is ridiculous. I can't even use up the 8 gigs of VRAM I have on this RTX 3070 ti because the game places an unusually heavy burden on the CPU.

The fact that I can't use the HD setting with an RTX 3070 ti? Because it's short 4 gigs of VRAM and not an RTX 3060? lol...that's stupid as hell.

To put this in the game specifically for graphics cards that have 12 gigs of VRAM. It tells you right there that the game isn't right. UBISOFT is flexing and they failed making a lot of people without those 12 gig GPU rigs hanging in the breeze.

Even if I had a gpu with 12 gigs of VRAM I would need an i9 processor with at least 12 cores and 24 threads just to stop this p.o.s. game from stuttering.

Farcry 6 came out in October of 2021. an i7-8700k is not a lame processor by any stretch of the imagination. It's not a weak processor. It's still a gaming powerhouse but just not for this game.

The i9-13900k came out in September of 2022. That means this dumbass game came out before it did. It's obvious that Farcry 6 requires a serious CPU but it's not worth it.

I realize the i9-13900k is a 50 percent or greater performance upgrade over the i7-8700k but it also uses more power and produces more heat and there is not a single game I can think of off the top of my head that would justify the expense.

Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. What I find interesting is that Farcry 6 is not exactly a state of the art game with new tricks. It's actually a downgrade in many ways to older Farcry games.

I have 8700k and RTX 4080, game stutters very bad, cpu and gpu usage at 50% max. FPS 70-85.
Now i bought 13700K + RTX 4080 and problem disappear. FPS at 140-160, ultra settings 1440p

I'm glad I don't have to perform any action when landing with wingsuit, my PC would froze for about 3 second as I get close to the ground lol

Having stutters, but did not have them until maybe 2nd or third time running the game and could not get rid of them. Ater trying Process Lasso and not getting anywhere except 15 seconds wait until the nag window demanding purchase counted down so i could click away, finally tried Libertad mod.

Libertad mod has 3 performance setting "modlets" in there, trying "balanced performance" which is perhaps the best looking of the lot, MUST set everything in video options to "low" in the game, for the modlet to work; and so far no stutters....

I've got lower specs, R7 3700, 32gb. 3060RTX and ive had no problems with everything maxed, as SteahmChip mentioned though there is a mod to fix it :P

I purchased a 15" TUF Gaming laptop (someone else indicated "gaming" laptops are SCAMS oh well ) and 27 screen monitor 4070rtx 8 gig card i7 runs hot
packed it with 64 ram 2x 4 tb SSD

and did not have any issues initially with high settings. It runs, 86-88c with cooling pad
but now I get stutters all the time meaning I go 5-10 minutes then it stops a second or two then proceeds normally, then it stops again a few minutes later. Turned down to medium settings and much the same thing.

At least now I can run Sims 3 Island Paradise without it gasping and choking (unless a serious mod conflict) Lol

FC6 has a zillion settings having to do with graphics possibilby any one of them or a combination is causing stutters under certain conditions, if so i cannot find them.

However, after using Libertad Mod with the "balanced performance" seems to be ok played several hours no issues; main concern trying to keep a unique horse alive (dont believe anyone on the Internet who says you can heal them with a blowtorch, liars all) but the unique horse now appears as a selection at a horse pickup point, so it just those kinds of things now.
