I run 100fps on alot of stuff on a Asus VG248QE which is 144hz but not a Gsync display, No screen tearing of any kind, because asus has a feauture called "TraceFree" I have it set to 80 and it counters the screen tearing https://techmindy.com/trace-free-on-monitor/
though right now I have my games capped to 60 since its summer time it helps keep the heat down in my room
that's pretty good tech, didn't even know that existed, very nice! as for heat it can be a bit much especially if your like me and got a lian li 011 case with the worst cooling in the planet xD
Yea I would hate a case like that, no front intake or side intake fans, also tempered glass can and will shatter and acrylic will scratch which is why I stick to solid panels
as for heat it can happen even with a case that has good cooling and exaust on it lol, I have an antec 302 (not sold anymore) and a Fractal Design Define R5 (still available today) and they both get the heat out of the system so fast it warms up the room
powerful gpu but it doesn't care, you need a very strong cpu to play this with high fps and less frame drops.
