jesus alright, thx
I'm rocking an EVGA 1080 Ti with 11gb and I can set everything to max and still have zero lag....go figure!

lag, stutter whatever isn't what i was talking about though, i also have 0 stutters and ♥♥♥♥... its overall fps.
You need a 4090 for this
I'm on a 8GB RTX 3070, it will mostly play fine at 1080p at 1.2 scale with HD Textures with 75fps average, its only around the main leader camps and sometimes cut scenes I have a big slow down to 5 - 15fps, but everywhere else in game and when I am exploring it works fine at 60 - 90fps, so cut scenes and leader camps have a major optimization issue with the VRAM

I finished all the story missions and side tasks though, just working on insurgency mode, the game also has New Game+ as well

Dunia is extremely CPU heavy and also terrible at using multiple cores.

You need a CPU with high clock speed, high IPC, bucket-loads of cache and fast RAM.

It cares not for the power of your GPU, only that you have a ton of VRAM.

Put it this way, play with fps counter on ...smooth as slik, no stutter, no lag and no problems. Play without FPS counter and, same result. Now ask yourself, at the level of fps you are getting and you are happy with what you see? Does the number really matter?
Its not an e-sport. You don't need to scrape every little performance advantage you can to shoot some AI enemies.

3080 rtx on medium/high settings, HD textures on, running 1440p, get around 100-120 fps, the difference between medium and ultra is not really noticeable and not worth the MASSIVE performance hit, and yeh even on ultra it still doesn't look as good as just cause 3 and runs like cack.

If I may ask, what's your CPU/RAM combo?

5600x and 16gb ram running games steam via NVMe, game is pretty cpu demanding as other have said we don't know why as it isn't the best looking game in the franchise, we have to put this one down to crappy optimisation

yes but you are forgetting most people play at 1440p or higher, normally play at 120+ fps, a 1080 in this game at 1440p you would be lucky to get 60 fps. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/far-cry-6-benchmarks
the problem is people have high end pc's and cannot achieve high fps at 1440p which should be easily achieved in this game, this is the problem, stating your 1080 can acheive 60 fps cap at 1080p isn't helping.

honnestly speaking this game and all games like it are good enough at 60 frames per second, just turn of the frame counter and you'll realise that fps has nothing to do with enjoyment unless you are playing pvp games. so for your own good just forget about it unless you have dips under 60 since they are so obvious it hurts (only had them once but when i had them it felt horrible for 5 seconds). be happy your games run 60, expect all games to run at 90 and be surprised if they run above 120. and then turn off the the fps counter and enjoy the game without being distracted by some stupid number
seems this VRAM requirement trend is already getting worse and moving to other games, Cities Skylines 2 wants an 11GB 2080ti or 16GB RX 6800 for recommend, Ridiculous
