also absolutly doint understand how it automaticly aded on old account where i absolutly dont know any login details and never loged myself on my computer under old ubisoft acount
Edit: Nice workshop you got.
You did it wrong and Ubi could fix it for you. I "unsub" this thread. You did it wrong.
I wish Uplay is no longer required to play Ubisoft games but every company has to get their own storefront like Valve with Steam.
yes it used to be called uplay but its the same application
if you made multiple accounts thats YOUR problem
you need to write down the e mail address you use
and the password that you use when ever you open any and all online accounts
as to UBI support you need to provide them with the proper info if you have any account issues
and yes steam saves your receipt you need to show them , yes even on gifts
its stored in your steam settings
my ubi account is over 10 years old
i have bought games here on steam and direct from ubi in the ubi connect app as well as bought ubi games at several online stores like green man games and humble bundle and other online sites
i have 1 ubi account its over 10 years old
(my steam account is 19 years old )
i wrote down the e mail i use and yes i use a strong password for for both ,,, yes i have changed many times ..with NO PROBLEM
if you need a link about how to contact ubi for account issues try this one
i'm sure they can help you out once you act like an adult and reach out to them with the proper information related to your account
https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/account/article/recovering-access-to-your-ubisoft-account/000063351
it pretty much covers it all on what you need to do
i do suggest in the future you buy a little address book and always write down your account info for any and all online accounts you create .. thats what i did over a decade ago
ubi accounts
JUST LIKE STEAM ACCOUNTS
work the same exact way , if you log into an account that is different then the one you bought a game on .. no your game will not be there for you to play it till you log in to the proper account
you need to open a support ticket on both steam as well as uplay/ubi connect if you lose access to your games or accounts or e mail you used
thats how digital games work
thats how banks work
thats how car insurance companies work
thats how credit cards work
thats how your electric company works
thats how your isp works
all for paying bills online
you need to write down your account info and use the same account for all your transaction online
and don't create endless amounts of accounts that you have not written down already
and before you argue that you only want a steam account i do not care .. this and many other games sold on steam require a UBI account
ubi connect is the first party DRM on all ubisoft games sold on steam
and yes they will require a UBISOFT account , this is listed right on the store page here on steam
personally i skip buying games on steam if they are ubi ones as i dont like extra DRM layers .. and that's all steam is on this and many other ubi games ..added useless DRM layers and another hoop to jump through
to me steam is simply just another different online store i can buy games from,
and in 2023 there are many
and as far as game companies requiring their own launcher or platform .. thats been part of PC games ever since i started playing games on my PC in the 1980s
so its not something "new" or something you are being forced into
hell i'm old enough to remember when duke nukem 3d shipped and you had to open a TEN network account to play it online , or to play command and conquer online you needed a westwood account , or to play diablo or world of warcraft you needed a blizzard account
sadly =yea we lost many games when kali folded .. i bet you were still a kid then too
and we lost gamespy
then steam moved in and took over the DRM business on digital games
sorry but steam is not the only online storefront for digital games
and yes online games do need and do use their own launchers for online connections as steam does not provide that for many games
for ubi games you need to use the ubi connect application for any and all online connection
far cry 6 has co op so yes its an online game and yes it will require a current ubi connect account
i have provided you with the links to reach out to ubi support if you treat them like A__holes they will do so probably back and be of little help if you scream at them for issues YOU created
as its your responsibility to protect and log into your account you purchased / or were gifted your game on .. not theirs
fully read the store pages on steam when you buy any games
if it says you need a different application like this one needs the ubi app
(and yes its listed on the STEAM store page that far cry 3 far cry 3 blood dragon far cry 4 far cry primal far cry 5 and far cry 6 all require the ubi app)
download the app and open your ubi app and log in to your account you wish to use .. then buy the game and dl it , it will auto activate on the proper account
OR
just buy the game on ubi connect as they will not get rid of their own launcher that they use for multiplayer connection , that has many other functions built into the game such as achievements , friends lists, save files and cloud services and other online features that valve does not provide
and yea i do suggest additionally NEVER TRUST A CLOUD FOR YOUR GAME SAVES
disable that feature in ubi connect settings as well as steam settings
make regular backups of your OWN save files
as yea that's always been part of PC gaming as well , and its not that hard of a thing to do
they even make simple software you can get free to do it if your too lazy to do regular backups of your own PC
google search gamesave manager and you'll find it
it covers many games on steam as well as thousands of other PC games for backing up your own save files
good luck and i hope you can resolve your issues now
please stop be same idiot like ubi support people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in every single answer i have to proof games, explain what i want etc !!!! now they asking me for proof of games which i already did by sending screens as they ask before... problem is... ubi support is fully of dumbheads and they simply dont bother reading and checking previous comments in my case and just simply send me answer which they have in their notes using CTRL + C CTRL+V !!!!!!!!!!!
stop writing me bullsh / ts i know how that worked and what happened !! exactly i writed here..also to sh .. t ubi support.... but i see you seems to be exactly same type of person who is typing on keybopard on ubisoft side.... omg ...
its very interesting i played fc5 year ago on my current account which automaticly log in... no problem..... as i wrote.. i dont have login details to old account !!!
in fc6 nothink shown for login, no app, no login details (username &passwrod) its straight went to game under old account !!!
how you explain this mistr Joda hmmm???
