Blackwell = Blackwell Academy?

I realize Blackwell is not a super rare name, but I can't help but think that Blackwell Academy from Life is Strange got its name as an homage to this video game series? I couldn't find any information about this, but there are a ton of easter eggs in Life is Strange so it wouldn't surprise me. Anyone know?
