The main menu button still restarts the whole game instead of taking you to the menu. It's hella annoying

We know :/

Unfortunately it's a limitation of that old version of the Clausewitz engine. A remnant of the past that we will have to live with I'm afraid

That's nice but I freshly reinstalled Ubuntu on my computer and EUIV crashes immediately after clicking "play" in the launcher. I hoped the patch will solve it, did not solve anything.

So?
In many regions, many provinces and some cultures are missing - and that's in those regions that included the latest DLCs!!!

Since the release of Origins DLC, I have no motivation to even play this game. Now I know that the best things are changes on the map.

If I recall correctly, you Paradox changed how that button worked years ago to guarantee the game had the correct check sum after "exiting to menu" and the only way to guarantee that was a complete restart.

One small thing, I think it would be a really good idea to give Rûm the modern Ottoman mission tree. It would make them way more interesting and worth playing, and would allow for some really interesting Mamluk games where you form Rûm and replace the Ottomans. I think it would also be a really cool way to get even more out of the Domination DLC :)
