Yeah. They are on my list to avoid already. I really would have liked to buy a new version of a game like HOI4, Imperator Rome, CK3. But after testing at sale, where they have let you test it, I saw how bad that games really are and that they are just stripped versions of what they are designed. PDX designs a game as it should be, then they strip off everything they can and that results in something that could be called "game" in some strange way. Then they create DLCs from stripped off features.

They did this with EU4 as well, but at version 1.26 they game was finished (as it was designed pre release) and they simply didn't have a clue what they should do next, so they start to break the game.

I put forward three theories: understaffed developers not handling all the work, corporate meddling and greed, or just plain ole incompetence and negligence. What would you say the issue is?

I do not think the developers are at fault, so I lean towards either corporate or understaffed crews.
Johann Andersson talking about solving bugs :steammocking: :steammocking:

For a golden price, he made an infamous pile of it named imperator Rome, ran away to Spain, and now is talking about bugs in EU4 ... Do I have to cry, laugh, or enrage ?

He talked about retirement, why did not he do it ????

maybe you could shove the entirety of spain up your a̸s̸s̵?

Leave the game alone its old and frail why are you milking it for every penny bring out EU5 and stop trying to squeeze money out of people for a 7 year old game.
What EU5? What about Vic 3??
D-Coke eredeti hozzászólása:
Surprised that people actually believe and buy into the bull that Johan & Co keep feeding the masses year after year after year. They are quite comfortable on their repeating cycle of releasing shoddy DLC's, then fix some of the bugs in a half assed manner and then repeat the cycle and giving new projects to new interns at new studios so that they can milk the masses some more and all this packaged in a glorified PR stunt a la Pdox.

Really wished Pdox had direct competition to blow them out of the water and make way for newcomers since their "Golden Age" has come to an overdue end.
This is such a good post. 100% Agree. PDX monopoly has gotten out of hand!
not EU5, VIC3 now plz

Very often the devs themselves are on the very bottom of the food chain, so I am pretty sure it is not their fault. If I blame PDX I blame the company.

The same conclusion I reached.
I totally agree, but for me EU4 is totally broken, It is almost no fun to play and multiplayer is dead.

But yeah, with the money I payed for PDX games during two decades I could buy a new car. That is why I hate, what PDX does to us. They won't be that big studies without their fan base who stick with them from the very beginning.

That amount of money over two decades for the number of hours I saw that you've played on your profile...you're looking at a few cents per hour of entertainment, bro. I call that a heck of a good deal. At this point, seems like you are just looking for something to whine about. If you don't like the games, don't buy them and move on.

That doesn't make any sense. It is nothing about money. I don't care to pay good money for good work. And I payed good money for good work a lot. I have paid for games I didn't even pay 1h. And I don't care, even it was like 20-40 €/$ per hour for games I don't play, because I know it is worth it.

What PDX is doing now is not worth anything. They developed a pretty good game and after they finished their good work, they started to destroy it! That is the point I am talkingt about.

I am talking about a company that was the only in the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ world, that was creating amazing games in a genre where no other developer came even close. But now they are not asking for good money to continue good work, now they are taking money to ♥♥♥♥ up their community.

Stop talking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and start thinking, seems too hard for you!

Exactly my man, just look at masterpiece such as RDR2, it's 60€ and paradox wants to charge us 20€ for a tiny DLC that changes a few things, that is simply crazy, now every single PDX DLC (for HOI, EU, CK) is worth at max 10€ and that might be pushing it, since every DLC/Update they introduce gives us more bugs and unbalanced issue, look at Emperor EU4 DLC.

Ah yes. Personal attacks. Nice.

I've been playing Paradox games for damn near 20 years. They've had missteps, they've made mistakes. I may not always like the DLC policy and sometimes certain DLCs are lacking in features, but overall the games are pretty solid. Usually, the DLCs are decent, too. I get what I've paid for and I have no problem paying for more.

You obviously feel the same since you've put thousands upon thousands of hours into the same games and have continued to buy the DLCs. That's my point: you are still playing, still buying, but continuing to whine and moan in these comment threads. See the inconsistency? If you feel so strongly about this, stop commenting, stop buying, stop playing. Cut off Paradox and make them lose a customer. Your money talks way more than the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you and others post in these threads. Been seeing folks like you post the exact same things for 20 years. It doesn't change anything.

I don't understand people who ask for a Victoria 3.
Victoria 1 and 2 were games of great complexity and a real gas factory requiring patience and mastery.
And you want the current Paradox Studio, which has only been producing "Cookies Clickers" since 2014, to transform Victoria into a "Cookie Clicker"?

Don't ask the devil.
Let good things die in peace. :mjolner:

But they announced a third one already, did they not?
