I put forward three theories: understaffed developers not handling all the work, corporate meddling and greed, or just plain ole incompetence and negligence. What would you say the issue is?
I do not think the developers are at fault, so I lean towards either corporate or understaffed crews.
For a golden price, he made an infamous pile of it named imperator Rome, ran away to Spain, and now is talking about bugs in EU4 ... Do I have to cry, laugh, or enrage ?
He talked about retirement, why did not he do it ????
Very often the devs themselves are on the very bottom of the food chain, so I am pretty sure it is not their fault. If I blame PDX I blame the company.
The same conclusion I reached.
That amount of money over two decades for the number of hours I saw that you've played on your profile...you're looking at a few cents per hour of entertainment, bro. I call that a heck of a good deal. At this point, seems like you are just looking for something to whine about. If you don't like the games, don't buy them and move on.
That doesn't make any sense. It is nothing about money. I don't care to pay good money for good work. And I payed good money for good work a lot. I have paid for games I didn't even pay 1h. And I don't care, even it was like 20-40 €/$ per hour for games I don't play, because I know it is worth it.
What PDX is doing now is not worth anything. They developed a pretty good game and after they finished their good work, they started to destroy it! That is the point I am talkingt about.
I am talking about a company that was the only in the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ world, that was creating amazing games in a genre where no other developer came even close. But now they are not asking for good money to continue good work, now they are taking money to ♥♥♥♥ up their community.
Stop talking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and start thinking, seems too hard for you!
Ah yes. Personal attacks. Nice.
I've been playing Paradox games for damn near 20 years. They've had missteps, they've made mistakes. I may not always like the DLC policy and sometimes certain DLCs are lacking in features, but overall the games are pretty solid. Usually, the DLCs are decent, too. I get what I've paid for and I have no problem paying for more.
You obviously feel the same since you've put thousands upon thousands of hours into the same games and have continued to buy the DLCs. That's my point: you are still playing, still buying, but continuing to whine and moan in these comment threads. See the inconsistency? If you feel so strongly about this, stop commenting, stop buying, stop playing. Cut off Paradox and make them lose a customer. Your money talks way more than the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you and others post in these threads. Been seeing folks like you post the exact same things for 20 years. It doesn't change anything.
Victoria 1 and 2 were games of great complexity and a real gas factory requiring patience and mastery.
And you want the current Paradox Studio, which has only been producing "Cookies Clickers" since 2014, to transform Victoria into a "Cookie Clicker"?
Don't ask the devil.
Let good things die in peace.
But they announced a third one already, did they not?
