Also the "ItS cAlLeD EuRoPa UnIvErSaLis" argument is flawed anyway. The name is a relic from the time where the game was an adaption of the board game of the same title and, true, the focus was on Europe. But guess what? There was ONLY Europe. The rest of the world just didn't exist. But you can't just change the title of a game series after a few titles, even if the focus has shifted.
If someone insists on using the title as an argument against developing interesting things outside of Europe, they should go back to a game version that has nothing but Europe. I recommend EU1.
Still, the game should be Euro-centric. This period in time is how Europe affected the rest of the world, so it would make sense that Europe should be the main focus of the game.
