Country tags insted of names appearing in the game

I was modding the game to create a native american country callled chinook in the Pacific Northwest but now in game the countrys tags show up as the name of the country insted of the actual name any advice to change this.?

For Example Englands name on the world map shows up as ENG in game.

the sources helped but it still did not change my situation

You should never edit the installed copy of the game, for exactly this reason. Instead copy the entire EU4 directory from under Steam to somewhere else, and only mod that copy, until you have it working and are ready to build a formal mod.

Try running a Steam Verify, if that doesn't fix it then a full clean reinstall will be needed.

Ok thank you for the Response I reinstalled and still have all my save games the game is running ok again
